Joe is
authorised by AO USA to teach the technique and manufacture
the instruments for Australia.
He was the first AO chiropractor to be Board Certified and
practice in Australia, in 1997.
He discovered AO while studying at
Palmer College of Chiropractic
and
meeting Dr Roy Sweat, Founder of Atlas Orothogonality
and inventor of the AO instrument. Joe considers Dr
Sweat to be "the most innovative chiropractor alive
today. This is even more astounding when one experiences
the man's gentility and humility."
He has served on the board of the Chiropractors Association of
Australia (CAA),
New South Wales Branch, since 1998, as media liaison and
vice president. Ierano was voted CAA NSW chiropractor of
the year for 2002, for service to the profession through
CAA.
In 2006 he recieved the honoured title MACC (Member of
Australasian College of Chiropractors) from CAA National.
He has appeared on national television
programs Today
Tonight and A Current Affair, promoting chiropractic and
has been interviewed by The Daily Telegraph and
published in the Sydney Morning Herald, The Australian,
and others, all in his service to chiropractic and the
CAA. He beleives that upper cervical is much needed
specialty, but embraces all chiropractic as beneficial
to people, and regularly works with other chiropractors
