i dont know whats wrong with me: child to mother...

Only a mother knows what it is like to see the changes in a child after chiropractic. She had successful craniopathy via an osteopath after birth. She had brilliant (Applied Kinesiology) chiropractic care that reduced visits to the medical doctors waiting room for hours on end. She had less stomach complaints too, after chiropractic.

Then came upper cervical chiropractic in the form of Atlas Orthogonality.

Her mother, Eleanor, writes:

I had always been very committed to Chiropratic care and sought out a cranial osteopath for my daughter before she was born. She received follow up for many years and over time we moved on to more traditional chiropractic care. About 18 months ago I began to notice to some subtle changes in my daughters behaviour. At the age of 8, I wondered if puberty was kicking in early and braced myself for some tumultuous times ahead. My daughter developed mood swings and anxiety, and she would have episodes of unprovoked rage which neither of us could explain. It was heartbreaking to see her approach me with tears in her eyes stating "I don't know what's wrong with me Mum? I don't know why I am doing this". In addition, she was missing a lot of school from 'tummy aches' which had been fully investigated by the medical system [and hours spent in waiting rooms - Dr Joe] and when no reason was found for her nausea and pain, we again turned to Chiropractic. Chiropractic care utilising Applied Kinesiology seemed to sort out the stomach problems, but the moodiness, distress, and anxiety persisted. I sought the advice of an experienced Psychologist who worked with children. He spent considerable time over several sessions, but was unable to explain the reason for my daughters behaviour. He found her to be well adjusted, polite and mature for her age. Her lifestyle and home life was supportive and there did not appear to be any extenuating circumstances which may be contributing to her distress.Having tried Atlas Orthogonal myself, I decided to add this to the treatment options for my daughter. As she was already receiving Chiropractic with good results, she was also open to the idea. The low force method appealed to her, and she was eager at her initial comprehensive appointment. An x ray revealed a significant displacement of her Atlas which I found surprising, but also encouraging - perhaps this was the problem? An adjustment was made, and a further two over the next few days and the ongoing results have been nothing short of astounding. I have my daughter back. She is easygoing, relaxed and cheerful. She is experiencing what any parent would hope for in a 9 year old child - free of anxiety and outbursts of anger and frustration - and adjusting to life as a carefree child once more. We both realise our journey to wellness has only just begun, but we are both feeling so relieved and positive about what the future holds. My daughter is now attuned to her body and what she needs to such a degree that she will say "Mum, I need an adjustment" - A statement that is so much easier to hear than "I don't know what's wrong with me".

here is the misalignment from the front, atlas is high on right

then, dramatically, we find her atlas is positioned forward on the left about 10 degrees; this is severe in my experience

in one adjustment, the x ray is repeated and shows a more orthogonal position of 1.5 degrees

Her atlas and spine needs re-checking for a few months as it will happen again, but the events are fewer and farther between. I also acknowledge the multidisciplinary approach to care, with expert Applied Kinesiology technique.

But until the atlas is set, not much else can happen, in my opinion. The brilliant affect of any medical care given, will also be compromised, when abnormal neurological input is arising from the most important joint complex of the spine.

Note that her mother is an experienced nurse with much postgraduate training and works in government run geriatric and mental health.
